Description
Product Overview
The 5m³ Electric Three-Wheel Side-Loading Garbage Collection Vehicle is designed for short-distance waste collection and transfer operations using standard wheeled garbage bins.
The vehicle combines a three-wheel electric chassis, a 5 m³ Q235 carbon steel waste body, and a side-mounted hydraulic bin lifting mechanism. The lifting system is compatible with 120L and 240L bins and is designed to raise and empty bins into the waste body.
Its compact three-wheel configuration and electric drive system make it suitable for sanitation collection routes where maneuverability and repeated bin handling are required.
Key Features and Advantages
Electric Three-Wheel Chassis
The vehicle uses a 72V electric system with a 4kW AC drive configuration. A lithium battery and portable smart charger are specified for the vehicle.
Side-Mounted Hydraulic Bin Lifter
The side-loading mechanism is compatible with 120L and 240L bins. The lifting system uses a 1.3kW hydraulic motor, two bidirectional cylinders, and a rated lifting capacity of 200kg.
5 m³ Q235 Carbon Steel Waste Body
The waste body is made from Q235 carbon steel. The lower seams are fully welded, and the bottom interior uses an anti-leakage design.
Hydraulic Body Lifting
One hydraulic cylinder is used for body lifting. The source specification lists approximately 15 seconds for raising the body and 8 seconds for lowering it.
Mechanical High/Low-Speed Rear Axle
The rear axle uses an integrated gearbox transmission with mechanical high/low-speed selection and a continuously variable speed system.
Safety and Driving Equipment
The vehicle is equipped with rear-wheel drum brakes, a parking brake device, headlights, taillights, an electric horn, and a reversing buzzer.

Operation Instructions and Safety Notes
Pre-operation Inspection
Check tire condition, brakes, battery status, steering, lights, hydraulic hoses, cylinders, guide rails, and bin lifting components before operation. Confirm that the waste body and lifting mechanism are securely connected and free from visible damage.
Bin Lifting Safety
Use only compatible 120L or 240L bins and do not exceed the specified 200kg lifting capacity. Confirm that the bin is correctly engaged with the lifting mechanism before raising it. Keep personnel clear of the lifting path and raised bin.
Loading and Driving Safety
Do not exceed the specified vehicle load capacity. Distribute waste as evenly as practical inside the body. Drive at a controlled speed, especially when turning, reversing, or operating on slopes.
Body Tipping Safety
Before raising the waste body, park on stable ground, apply the parking brake, and make sure no person or obstruction is within the tipping area. Do not work beneath a raised body unless it is mechanically secured according to service procedures.
Electrical and Hydraulic Safety
Stop the vehicle before inspecting electrical or hydraulic components. Do not operate the lifting system if hydraulic leakage, abnormal noise, damaged hoses, or unstable movement is observed.
Maintenance Recommendations
- Clean the waste body and bin lifting mechanism after operation and remove accumulated waste or debris.
- Inspect hydraulic hoses, cylinders, fittings, guide rails, rollers, and lifting arms regularly for leakage, looseness, deformation, or wear.
- Check tire condition, braking components, steering parts, lights, and reversing buzzer before regular operation.
- Keep battery terminals and electrical connections clean and secure, and use the specified charging equipment.
- Lubricate moving joints and sliding components as required by operating conditions.
- For long-term storage, park the vehicle in a dry and ventilated location and maintain the battery according to the battery and charger requirements.
