Description
Product Overview
The 6 Cubic Meter Vehicle-Mounted Snow Melting Agent Spreader is designed for winter road maintenance and deicing material spreading operations.
The unit combines a large-capacity hopper, chain-slat conveying system and disc-type spreading mechanism. The conveying system moves snow melting material from the hopper to the spreading disc, where it is distributed across the road surface.
With a 6m³ hopper and a spreading width of 2-8m, the spreader is suitable for road maintenance operations requiring continuous material delivery and adjustable coverage.
Key Features and Advantages
6m³ Hopper Capacity
The 6m³ hopper provides increased material capacity for larger road maintenance and snow removal support operations.
Chain-Slat Conveying System
The chain-slat conveyor transfers snow melting material from the hopper toward the spreading mechanism and is suitable for materials that may not flow freely by gravity alone.
Disc-Type Spreading Device
The disc spreading system distributes deicing material across the road surface during operation.
Adjustable 2-8m Spreading Width
The spreading width can be adjusted within the specified 2-8m range to suit different road widths and operating conditions.
Vehicle-Mounted Configuration
The spreader is designed for vehicle-mounted installation, allowing it to be used as part of a winter road maintenance vehicle.
Independent Diesel Power
The unit is equipped with a 12 HP diesel engine and manual throttle control for the spreading system.

Operation Instructions and Safety Notes
Pre-operation inspection
Check the carrier vehicle condition, power system, hopper, chain-slat conveyor and disc spreading mechanism before operation. Make sure rotating and conveying components move freely without blockage.
Material preparation
Use snow melting material suitable for the spreader. Avoid loading wet, heavily caked or contaminated material that may interfere with conveying and spreading.
Road and weather assessment
Evaluate road width, traffic conditions, slope, curves, temperature, snowfall and wind conditions before setting the spreading width and operating strategy.
Operating safety
Drive smoothly on icy roads and avoid sudden braking or sharp turns. Use warning lights and other required road-safety signals during spreading operations.
Spreading operation
Adjust the spreading width according to the road and application requirements. Monitor material flow continuously and stop the system before clearing any blockage.
Wind precautions
In strong winds, adjust the spreading strategy to reduce material drift and uneven distribution.
Maintenance Recommendations
- – Remove remaining snow melting material from the hopper and spreading system after use.
- – Wash the vehicle body, chassis and spreading components with clean water after operation because snow melting materials may be corrosive.
- – Dry cleaned components to reduce the risk of rust.
- – Check the chain-slat conveyor and spreading disc for blockage, wear or restricted movement.
- – Inspect the diesel engine, battery and drive components regularly.
- – Keep unused snow melting material in a dry, ventilated storage area to reduce moisture absorption and caking.
- – Store the spreader in a dry and ventilated area when not in service.
